Building a stronger, more prepared Jasper County—one trained citizen at a time.
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic disaster response skills. These skills include fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using this training, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.

Assist during severe weather, damage assessments, and community impact events.
CERT volunteers are not a replacement for emergency services—they are a trained force multiplier that helps our community respond faster, operate safer, and recover stronger.

Preparing today for the emergencies of tomorrow is essential.
The Jasper County CERT team is here to help you and your family be ready when it matters most. From CPR and Stop the Bleed to active threat response and emergency preparedness, we provide hands-on training that builds real-world confidence.
Be ready. Be informed. Be #JasperReady.

CERT volunteers provide responder rehab support at extended incidents by helping ensure all personnel—fire, EMS, and law enforcement—have a safe place to rest and recover. Under the direction of command, CERT establishes and manages rehab areas, provides hydration and cooling or warming as needed, and assists with basic monitoring while crews rotate out of operations. This support helps reduce fatigue, prevent heat or cold-related injuries, and keeps responders safe, effective, and ready to return to the mission.

Losing everything in a fire or disaster is overwhelming, and no one should have to face that alone. Our CERT volunteers provide family liaison support by helping connect you with resources, answering questions, and staying engaged as you begin to recover. We don’t just show up for a moment—we stay involved, working alongside you and our partner agencies to help you take the next steps and start getting back on your feet. Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
